The President of the University of Carthage, Prof. Nadia Mzoughi, welcomed on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, Ms. Wu Yang, recently designated as the Chinese Co-Director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Carthage (UCAR), succeeding Ms. Ru Xin.

The ceremony was attended by Prof. Hichem Messaoudi, Director of the Higher Institute of Languages of Tunis (ISLT) and Tunisian Co-Director of the Institute, as well as Mr. Tahar Jallouli, Director of Academic Affairs and Scientific Partnerships at UCAR.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the Institute’s upcoming activity program and the participation of UCAR as a member in the International Conference of Confucius Institutes to be held next November in Beijing.

President Mzoughi extended her heartfelt congratulations to the outgoing Co-Director, Ms. Ru Xin, for her remarkable efforts in promoting and expanding the activities of the Institute.
