About Erasmus Mobility

Unlock international opportunities with Erasmus+ and broaden your academic, teaching, or administrative horizons.

Erasmus+ is a European Union program that supports education, training, youth, and sport in Europe. It offers opportunities for students, staff, and institutions to engage in international mobility and cooperation. The program aims to enhance personal, academic, and professional development by providing funding for studying, teaching, or working abroad. Erasmus+ also promotes the exchange of best practices, fostering stronger connections between European and non-European countries. It is designed to improve skills and employability, as well as to encourage active citizenship and intercultural dialogue.

Erasmus Mobility: Study, Teach, or Work Abroad

Unlock international opportunities with Erasmus+ and broaden your academic, teaching, or administrative horizons.

The Erasmus+ programme offers students the opportunity to study abroad for a period ranging from 2 to 12 months. In our project, the standard duration of study mobilities is defined as follows:

  • 5 months for Bachelor’s (first cycle) and Master’s (second cycle) students
  • 3 months for Doctoral (third cycle) candidates.

To ensure meaningful and high-quality mobility experiences, each study period abroad must align with the student’s academic curriculum and personal development goals. It should form an integral part of the student’s programme of study, contributing towards the completion of their Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree.

Participation in the programme requires students to demonstrate a sufficient proficiency in the language of instruction at the host institution, enabling them to actively follow lectures and complete assessment tasks.

Erasmus+ students are exempt from paying tuition fees, registration costs, exam fees, and charges for access to laboratories or libraries at the host institution. However, minor costs such as insurance or student union membership may still be applicable.

This activity enables teaching staff from partner institutions to carry out teaching assignments abroad, and vice versa. The mobility can take place in any regular subject area or academic discipline offered by the host institution.

Participants must be employees of the sending institution, both at the time of selection/nomination and during the mobility period. This employment status must be duly documented.

Under this project, the duration of individual teaching mobility is set at 5 working days, with an additional 2 days allowed for travel. The teaching activity must comprise a minimum of 8 hours per week.

It is essential to comply with the minimum duration requirements, as mobilities not meeting these criteria will be considered ineligible for funding and certification.

This activity supports the professional development of both teaching and non-teaching staff through training opportunities abroad. Eligible activities include structured training events (excluding conferences), as well as job shadowing, observation periods, and training at a partner institution.

Participants must be employees of the sending institution, both at the time of selection/nomination and throughout the mobility period. This status must be formally documented.

In this project, the duration of individual mobility is set at 5 working days, with 2 additional days for travel. It is essential to meet the minimum duration requirement, as shorter mobilities will not be eligible for funding or certification.

In the field of International Relations, training visits are often carried out as part of International Staff Training Weeks, which are organized to ensure a well-structured programme and comprehensive support throughout the stay.
