Closing Ceremony of the Tunisia–Japan Technical Cooperation Project on ICT Start-ups

The University of Carthage is pleased to share highlights from the closing ceremony of the Tunisia–Japan Technical Cooperation Project on ICT Start-ups, held on September 18, 2025, at the Cité des Sciences in Tunis.

The event gathered distinguished guests, including the Director of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Higher Education Mr. Malek Kochlef, the Ambassador of Japan to Tunisia, the President of the University of Carthage, representatives of JICA, the CEO of the Japanese incubator TSI, the director of University of Aizu, as well as academics from ISTIC and the University of Aizu.

This ceremony marked the successful conclusion of the project “Establishment of a Human Resource Development Model for ICT Start-ups for Women and Young People in Tunisia”, implemented by ISTIC–University of Carthage and the University of Aizu with the support of JICA.

We are proud of the tangible impact this partnership has had in strengthening the entrepreneurial and technical skills of Tunisian youth and women, while contributing to the growth of the start-up ecosystem in Tunisia.
