The Board of Directors of the Confucius Institute, jointly established by the University of Carthage and Dalian University of Foreign Languages, held its meeting remotely on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

During the session, board members reviewed and approved several key agenda items:

• Approval of the 2024 Activity Report
• Approval of the 2025 Activity Plan
• Approval of the 2024 Budget
• Approval of the 2025 Budget
• Appointment of Mr. Hichem Messaoudi, Tunisian Director of the Confucius Institute, as a member of the Board of Directors
• Discussion of new perspectives for the improvement and development of the Confucius Institute as a hub for Chinese language and culture in Tunisia and across Africa

This meeting marks an important step in the ongoing collaboration between the two institutions and the strategic development of cultural and academic exchange between Tunisia and China.
