Official Launch of the SmartGreenEcos Project – Interreg NEXT MED Programme

As part of the Interreg NEXT MED transnational cooperation programme, the SmartGreenEcos project—dedicated to supporting the green and digital transition of SMEs in the agri-food sector across the Mediterranean—officially began on July 17, 2025.

To mark the start of this ambitious initiative, a preparatory meeting was held on July 29, 2025, bringing together members of the University of Carthage team:

  • Prof. Nadia Mzoughi Aguir, President of the University of Carthage
  • Dr. Iness Jabri, Faculty member at the University of Carthage
  • Dr. Yosr Sbais, Faculty member at the University of Carthage

Objectives of the meeting:

  • Ensure an effective and well-coordinated launch of the project
  • Define priorities for the first semester (from July 17, 2025, to January 17, 2026)
  • Coordinate the participation of Tunisian partners in joint activities
  • Anticipate key steps ahead of the official Kick-off Meeting (KoM) planned for September 2025

This preparatory session laid the strategic foundation for Tunisia’s contribution to the project and strengthened cooperation among partner institutions committed to sustainability and digital transformation in the agri-food sector.
