Scientific Visit of a Delegation from the University of Carthage to the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fes – Morocco

As part of its commitment to strengthening academic cooperation and developing Euro-Mediterranean scientific partnerships, a delegation from the University of Carthage conducted a scientific visit to the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fes.

The delegation was led by Professor Nadia Mazoughi, President of the University of Carthage, accompanied by Dr. Anis El Aoud, General Coordinator of the PRIMA Project, along with project team members:

Dr. Nadra Assas, Deputy Director of the Higher Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technologies

Dr. Nahla Ben Salah, Former Head of the Department of Environmental Sciences

The delegation was received by Mr. Rachid Selghi, Local Coordinator of the PRIMA Project in Morocco, and Professor Chakib Njaari, Vice President of the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fes, representing the University President Professor Mostafa Bousmina. During the meeting, the importance of this visit in supporting scientific partnerships and promoting the exchange of expertise among Euro-Mediterranean universities and research institutions was emphasized.

The visit also featured distinguished Egyptian scientific participation, represented by Professor Mahmoud Hazin, former Dean of the Institute of Agriculture and Biology at the National Research Centre in Cairo, in addition to the participation of several Moroccan researchers, including Professor Belkhir Hamouti from the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fes.

This visit concluded with the signing of scientific cooperation agreements between the University of Carthage and the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fes, aiming to strengthen academic relations, develop joint research projects, and enhance the exchange of scientific expertise and competencies.

Participants highlighted the pivotal role played by the PRIMA Project in fostering academic cooperation and advancing joint scientific research among higher education and research institutions across the Mediterranean region. They also reaffirmed their commitment to developing future projects with scientific, research, and industrial dimensions, contributing to a positive and sustainable impact at both regional and international levels.
