The project addresses growth challenges in the Mediterranean (MED) food industry by fostering an ecosystem of SMEs, enhancing collaboration, and strengthening supply chains. It supports the digital and green transition through data awareness, benchmarking, learning, capacity building, and collaborative product development.
The project will establish an ecosystem of 100 SMEs from four MED countries (Cyprus, Greece, Tunisia, and Jordan), leading to capacity building in 10 thematic areas and creating 10 new product prototypes. It will also develop an SME Association and four platform-based services for AI-based benchmarking, capacity building, digital procurement/trade, and new product development.
Aligned with key EU policies, the project is structured into four work packages: setting up the SME ecosystem, developing services and platforms, ensuring service utilization by 100 SMEs, and securing long-term sustainability and scale-up across other MED countries
