MOBILITY SCHOLARSHIP AT THE UNIVERSITY OF PALERMO (ITALY) WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE MARE PROJECT

Program Overview
This mobility opportunity is part of the MARE project (Mobility and Research in the Mediterranean), a Transnational Education (TNE) initiative funded under the Italian National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), Code TNE23-00049.
The project aims to strengthen university cooperation, promote student and staff exchanges, and support joint research activities among Mediterranean universities. Through this mobility program, participants will benefit from high-quality academic experiences, enhance international partnerships, and contribute to the development of key thematic areas such as economics, business, and statistics.
This initiative offers students and academics a unique opportunity for professional and academic growth within the Mediterranean region.

Within this framework, the University of Carthage is launching this call for applications for mobility opportunities with the University of Palermo for the academic year 2025/2026.

Target Audience:
Students from the University of Carthage enrolled in Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD programs in the following fields: economics, business, and statistics.

Mobility Duration:
3 months during the 2025/2026 academic year.
The mobility must be completed before March 31, 2026.
It is possible to request an extension of the mobility period beyond the initially agreed duration in the mobility contract; however, in all cases, the mobility must end before March 31, 2026. The student must obtain prior approval from both the host university and the academic program coordinator.
No additional financial support will be provided for the extended period.

Number of Scholarships:

  • One mobility scholarship is available for students from the University of Carthage.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Be enrolled in one of the institutions affiliated with the University of Carthage.
  • Have at least a B2 level in English.
  • Submit the complete application within the set deadlines.
  • To be considered, applications must include all required documents and be submitted on time.
  • Applications will be assessed based on both the submitted documents and an interview.
  • Students selected for the MARE scholarship are not allowed to receive other funding or work during the same study period.

Interested candidates must submit their application file to the Registry Office of the University of Carthage no later than May 2, 2025.
