Boost Your Competitiveness by Joining a Mediterranean Innovation Ecosystem
SmartGreenEcos is a European project implemented under the Interreg NEXT MED programme and co-funded by the European Union. It aims to structure a collaborative, green, and smart Mediterranean ecosystem bringing together 100 companies from the milk and dairy value chain to foster collective innovation, digital and ecological transition, and the sustainable strengthening of business competitiveness.
The project brings together companies from Tunisia, Greece, Cyprus, and Jordan, in collaboration with universities, experts in the agri-food and digital sectors, and research organizations, including Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, University of Carthage, RTD TALOS, and IWDT, to support the development of high-impact transformative innovations.
As part of this project, the SmartGreenEcos team from the University of Carthage organized an Information Day dedicated to the project launch and call for participation for companies in the milk and dairy sector on January 27, 2026, at Mövenpick Hotel du Lac Tunis.
THE OPPORTUNITY: JOIN THE “DOUBLE TRANSITION”
The Tunisian dairy sector is facing unprecedented challenges: rising animal feed prices, water stress, and new decarbonization requirements. SmartGreenEcos goes beyond advisory services. We are structuring a Mediterranean ecosystem to pool solutions and reduce your operational costs across your entire value chain.
A UNIQUE “FARM TO FORK” APPROACH
Unlike traditional programs, SmartGreenEcos operates in an integrated manner across all value chain segments:
UPSTREAM: Optimization of animal feed and reduction of import dependency. PROCESSING: Energy and digital efficiency, waste reduction. SUPPORT INDUSTRIES: Eco-design of packaging and innovative equipment. DOWNSTREAM: Smart distribution logistics and access to “green” markets.
WHY JOIN US (EVEN IF YOU HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED SUPPORT)?
If you have previously benefited from programs (GIZ, TRANSDAIRY, UNIDO, LACTIMED, etc.), SmartGreenEcos is the ideal lever to turn your ambitions into reality:
