Within the framework of the Interreg NEXT MED transnational cooperation programme, the SmartGreenEcos project continues to actively implement its activities in support of the green and digital transition of agri-food SMEs across the Mediterranean region.
To this end, a coordination meeting of the Tunisian team was held on June 2, 2026, at the University of Carthage (UCAR), under the chairmanship of the Project Coordinator. The meeting brought together the main stakeholders involved in the implementation of the project in Tunisia, including representatives of the University of Carthage and the technology partners Biware and SIRAT, represented respectively by their Chief Executive Officers.
This working meeting forms part of the preparations for the upcoming Steering Committee Meeting and aims to ensure effective coordination among the national partners in order to achieve the project’s objectives.
The discussions provided an opportunity to review the progress of ongoing activities, consolidate current deliverables, and prepare for upcoming technical, administrative, and financial milestones. Participants addressed several key topics, including:
The partners reviewed the progress made regarding the Risk Assessment and Mitigation Plan, an essential tool for ensuring sound governance and the quality of project outcomes.
Participants analyzed the evolution of the key performance indicators (KPIs) of the beneficiary SMEs and discussed data collection mechanisms required for monitoring project results. The involvement of companies in the various planned activities was also a central topic of discussion.
The technology partners presented the methodology of the co-design activities developed within the framework of Work Package 3 (WP3).
This meeting helped strengthen coordination among the Tunisian partners and define responsibilities related to the different components of the project in preparation for the next Steering Committee Meeting.
The University of Carthage and its partners thus reaffirm their commitment to promoting cooperation, innovation, and sustainable development in support of the Mediterranean entrepreneurial ecosystem.
