MOBILITY SCHOLARSHIP AT THE UNIVERSITY OF CAGLIARI (ITALY) WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE MARE PROJECT

Program Overview
This mobility opportunity is part of the MARE project (Mobility and Research in the Mediterranean), a Transnational Education (TNE) initiative funded under the Italian National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), Code TNE23-00049.
The project aims to strengthen university cooperation, promote student and staff exchanges, and support joint research activities among Mediterranean universities. Through this mobility program, participants will have the opportunity to gain high-quality academic experiences, enhance international partnerships, and contribute to the development of key thematic areas such as international relations, social sciences, and languages.
This initiative offers students and academics a unique opportunity for professional and academic development within the Mediterranean region.

Within this framework, the University of Carthage is launching this call for applications for mobility opportunities with the University of Cagliari for the 2025/2026 academic year.

Target Groups

  • Students from the University of Carthage enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s programs in the following fields: international relations, social sciences, and modern languages.
  • Academic and administrative staff from the University of Carthage.

Mobility Duration

  • For students: 3 months during the 2025/2026 academic year.
  • For academic staff: 14 days during the 2025/2026 academic year.
  • For administrative staff: 7 days during the 2025/2026 academic year.

Number of Scholarships

  • Three mobility scholarships for students from the University of Carthage.
  • Two mobility scholarships for academic staff from the University of Carthage.
  • One mobility scholarship for administrative staff from the University of Carthage.

Scholarship Value

  • The scholarship amount is €900.00 per month for students. The University of Cagliari may also reimburse travel costs up to a maximum of €211.00.
  • For teaching and administrative staff, the scholarship is €190.00 per day. The scholarship is subject to a 30% tax unless staff members provide a tax residency certificate (a document proving they are residents and pay taxes in Tunisia, issued by the Tunisian Revenue Agency).
  • The University of Cagliari may also reimburse travel costs up to a maximum of €211.00 per participant.

Interested candidates must submit their application files to the General Office of the University of Carthage no later than May 23, 2025.
